Polar Express

This year we wanted to do some special things with the kids since this was our last year as a family of four.  We have been wanting to take them to ride on the Polar Express for a few years but it just never seemed to work out.  This time we made our reservations early and Thanksgiving weekend it was!

We left early so that we would have plenty of time to look around the little town and then to have dinner before the train ride.  The kids were sooo excited!

There is a neat little train museum right beside the depot that is free with your Polar Express ticket.  It was very interesting to look at all the details on this huge track.  They also had lots of other train cars on display that were very expensive!!

 By day...
By night...
The kids changed into their pajamas when it was time for our train ride.
Very excited and ready to ride!

The chefs come out and do a dance to start the ride off...

EK with her Christmas rice krispie treat.

 Hot cocoa for everyone!
 The conductor punches the tickets!
Jake is listening for his bell to ring...
The ride wouldn't be complete without a stop for Santa to get on....
I don't remember what Jake is asking Santa here, but I am positive it was interesting....

So much fun and so many good memories.

I will always treasure these special moments with my first two babies.
